Scorcher and Sounds & Pressure present the best skinhead weekend of the year. 2 nights of top quality original skinhead sounds, heavyweight valve powered sound system, amazing late 60s dancehall venue, vintage stalls and record dealers. This weekend is all about originality, authenticity and quality. By popular demand we’ve relocated to Nottingham in central England so that more people can get to the event from the UK and abroad – East Midlands Airport is only 10 miles from Nottingham. And to mark the occasion we are going to make this a weekend a proper scorcher! The venue is fantastic with original late 60s décor, a fantastic wooden dancefloor, a decent bar and plenty of low cost/good quality hotels within walking distance. Also Nottingham is well known as a goldmine for vintage/retro clothes shops and second-hand record dealers, so get there early to find those deals!
All events (day and night) will be held at The Polish Eagle Club, 2 Sherwood Rise, Nottingham NG7 6JN, over the weekend of Friday 18th – Saturday 19th July. Night time sessions will start at 8pm and all day Saturday we will be holding a vintage record and clothes market, with music, open decks and bar. Contact Phil or Brian if you want to run a stall (no charge).
We recommend getting the best deal on hotels by booking through www.laterooms.com and searching NG7 6JN as the destination. There are loads of decent hotels within walking distance for £60 or less per night for a double room.
